Onli is an award winning innovative fine artist who is a life long resident of the creative Hyde Park community of Chicago which is also President Obama's home. He is known for his Rhythmistic approach to the visual arts. He earned a BFA and a MAAT from the prestigious School of The Art Institue of Chicago with additional studies at the University of Paris, and the University of Chicago. His work tends to be conceptual and narrative while utilizing design concepts in an illustrative manner to provoke distinction, value, curiousity, and appeal. The late Rev. Samuel David Phillips was Onli's grandfather and raised him as his youngest son. Rev. Phillips was an ordained pastor who was moved to create a huge colleciton of Biblical charts.
These charts were derived from the Bible and were used as visual aids in his very dynamic sermons and insightful Bible meetings. He created them from 1935 until his death in 1973..
